The 1959 Alabama State Fair was a State Fair open at the Alabama State Fairgrounds between October 5 and 10, 1959. Admission to the fair was $1 for visitors 12 and older and $0.25 for children age 5-12, except when attending on "Children's Day"s for free. A fee of $0.50 was charged to automobiles entering the fairgrounds, and grandstand tickets were $1.50 for adults and $0.50 for children.

The fair featured $42,000 in prizes for sheep, hogs, rabbits, beef cattle and dairy cattle. Annette Nall crowned Mildred Louise Nelson as Alabama's Maid of Cotton on October 8. Other exhibits included 4-H Club, FFA and FHA displays, handicrafts, artwork, flower arrangements, and home-made foods. Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville loaned a Juno II rocket and a Nike-Hercules missile for display at the fair. Paul Olson's Amusement Corporation of America operated the midway attractions.

The "Alabama State Fair Revue of 1959", produced by Barnes-Carruthers, was accompanied by nightly performances by Frankie Masters & his Orchestra and Johnny Puleo & his Harmonica Band, followed by a fireworks display produced by Thearle-Duffield Fireworks of Chicago, Illinois each evening. Celebrities appearing at the fair included Duncan Renaldo and Leo Carrillo ("The Cisco Kid"), Craig Stevens ("Peter Gunn"), Gene Barry ("Bat Masterson"), Guy Williams, Scott Forbes, John Bromfield, Robert Horton ("Wagon Train") and Carl Marx.
