The 2009 Birmingham-Southern College Panthers football season was the 3rd for the college since the program was resurrrected in 2006. Eddie Garfinkle was head coach for the 2nd year and led the team to a 4-6 season. Both previous seasons saw the Panthers go 3-7. For the first full season, the Panthers played all their home games at Panther Stadium at the BSC Athletics Complex.

Results (4-6)

  1. September 5: Lost to LaGrange College 30-27 on a last-minute field goal in LaGrange, Georgia.
  2. September 12: Defeated Campbell University 35-28 at Panther Stadium. The Panthers won with a 32-yard overtime touchdown pass from junior quarterback Joe Thigpen to senior wide receiver Tay Walker.
  3. September 26: Defeated Rhodes College 51-17 at Panther Stadium.
  4. October 3: Lost to Trinity University 41-14 in San Antonio, Texas.
  5. October 10: Lost to Centre College 14-13 at Panther Stadium.
  6. October 17: Defeated Austin College 35-28 in Sherman, Texas.
  7. October 24: Defeated University of the South 34-17 in Sewanee, Tennessee.
  8. October 31: Lost to DePauw University 35-21 at Panther Stadium.
  9. November 7: Lost to Huntington College 59-28, homecoming at Panther Stadium.
  10. November 14: Lost to Millsaps College 38-20 in Jackson, Mississippi.
