The 2010 Bassmaster Classic, 40th in the annual series of fishing tournaments, was held on February 1921, 2010 on Lay Lake, with weigh-ins at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex arena. Approximately 15,000 fans attended the final weigh-in at which Kevin Vandam of Kalamazoo, Michigan was crowned champion. The event was televised each morning on ESPN2.

Vandam's three-day haul totaled 51 pounds 6 ounces, propelling him ahead of Jeff Kriet and Todd Faircloth at the top of the field of 50. The winning purse was $500,000. The total purse for all competitors was $1,200,000.

The weekend also included the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo presented by Dick's Sporting Goods at the Convention Complex. This was the 4th Bassmaster Classic to be held at Lay Lake and 7th to be held in the Birmingham area.
