The 2015 Rickwood Classic was the 20th in the annual series of "throwback" games played by the Birmingham Barons in vintage-styled uniforms at Birmingham's historic Rickwood Field. The Jacksonville Suns defeated the Barons 8-2 on the afternoon of Wednesday May 27 before 7,046 spectators.

The home team Barons wore throwback uniforms modeled after those worn by the Southern League champion 1948 Birmingham Barons. The Suns wore bright yellow period uniforms with black sleeves and socks. The featured guest for the game was 8-time All-Star infielder Darryl Strawberry.

In the game, Barons starter Myles Jaye held up into the fifth inning, and helped himself at the plate with two hits. He gave up seven hits and five runs, two of which came off Jeremy Farrell's throwing error from third. Jacksonville starter Kendry Flores allowed two runs in six innings of work to get the win. Offensively, the Barons were led by catcher Adrian Nieto who drove in a run and later hit a solo home run that landed on the roof over the right-field bleachers. The Suns were led by first baseman David Adams who went five for five to improve his season average to .356.

Bill Greason, John McNamara, Doug Segrest, and Bo Landreth were inducted into the Birmingham Barons Hall of Fame during the game.
