2018 Alabama State Fair

The 2018 Alabama State Fair was a privately-operated carnival held September 28-October 7, 2018 at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater. Since 2012 the annual event has been put on by the Cordova, Tennessee-based Universal Fairs.

Attractions at the fair included trapeze artists, bird shows, and a "banana derby". Performers included the Puppetone Rockers, Jimmie Allen, Konzentido, Neto Bernal, Brandon Solano, and Domenic Marte. Disney Channel personality Sky Katz also appeared at the event.

During the fair, a miniature goat at the fair's petting zoo was killed when a camel fell on top of it. The death went unnoticed for several hours.
