Beaner & Ken was a morning radio show on the air in Birmingham at various times between 1998 - 2006.

The show began in 1998 when WRAX-FM program director Dave Rossi paired veteran disc jockeys Guy "Beaner" Patton and Ken Heron together. The pair, with Patton's comedic writing and Heron's production skills, began competing for the top ratings spot in Birmingham morning radio, which included top-rated and nationally syndicated Rick & Bubba.

After 3 years, Patton accepted a solo morning show in Washington, DC in 2001. In 2003, the duo reunited on air at on Tuscaloosa's WANZ-FM, which had just switched frequencies and was on air in Birmingham. After a year, Crawford Broadcasting did not renew the show's contract. Months later, the show was back on-air, this time at WAXQ in Syracuse, New York. In January 2005, that show began being broadcast in Birmingham again, after WRAX's owner, Citadel Broadcasting, purchased WANZ from Crawford Broadcasting, and moved WRAX to the FM 100.5 frequency, and brought Beaner & Ken on board via simulcast. The show continued until the end of 2006. Citadel changed formats of WRAX in November, and WAXQ canceled the show in New York a month later.

As of May 2009, Beaner currently resides in Jersey City, New Jersey where he is a sketch comedy writer for the Upright Citizens Brigade and a producer for Citadel's ABC Radio. As of March 2011, Heron is on air as part of the Go Fish Morning Show in Huntsville.
