Believer Bands are a brand of rubber band bracelets designed and sold by Birmingham-based Relevant Trends. Relevant Trends was started by Michael Pugh, youth pastor at Bluff Park United Methodist Church in Hoover, and his mentor Wayne Cook. Pugh noticed children and young adults in his church wearing rubber band bracelets depicting animals in early 2009, and decided to design a set of rubber band bracelets which would tell the story of the Christian faith. Believer Bands include a black apple, a red cross, a white heart, a green flower, and a yellow crown. Orders for the bands, which are manufactured in China, are sold in Books-A-Million stores and online.
