Bessemer Jail

The Bessemer Jail is a 78,000 square-foot, 125-bed detention facility operated by the City of Bessemer. The $8 million building occupies the site of a former hotel in downtown Bessemer. It was designed by Giattina Fisher Aycock and completed in 1989.
