Bill L. Harbert

Billy Lebold Harbert (born July 21, 1923 in Indianola, Mississippi, died June 27, 2010 in Birmingham), was a construction leader in Birmingham.

Harbert graduated from Phillips High School, served in World War II, and graduated from Auburn University in 1948 with a Civil Engineering degree. In 1966 he attended Harvard Graduate School of Business.

Harbert participated in the formation of Harbert Construction with his brother John Harbert III in 1949, serving as executive vice president until 1979, when he then became president of Harbert International. He was inducted into the Birmingham Business Hall of Fame in 2017.
