The Birmingham Bulls is a professional hockey team competing in the Huntersville, North Carolina-based 10-team Southern Professional Hockey League. The Bulls play their home matches at the 4,000-seat Pelham Civic Complex. The team is majority-owned by Art Clarkson, who also owned the 1990s Birmingham Bulls (ECHL) team. Other partners include Kevin Guy, Mike Stockard, Randy Brown, Kurt Dinga, Jeff Tenner, John Higgins, Chris Early and Adam Rubin.

Former Birmingham Bulls (ECHL) star Jamey Hicks was hired as the first coach of the new team in May 2017. Veteran broadcaster Eli Gold was announced as the team's play-by-play announcer in June.

The 2023 Birmingham Bulls went 42-7-8, narrowly losing the SPHL President's Cup to the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs.

The 2024 Bulls finished the regular season with a 38-9 record and were awarded the William Coffey Trophy prior to the start of the 2024 SPHL playoffs.
