Bob Burton

Robert George Burton (born c. 1929; died January 12, 2014) was president and CEO of Hoar Construction.

Burton graduated from Auburn University and began working as a construction estimator. He joined F. R. Hoar & Son in the 1950s and helped land major projects such as Office Park and Eastwood Mall. His efforts enable Hoar to become a national leader in shopping center construction and Burton assumed the role of president in the 1970s. He later succeeded Richard Hoar as CEO.

Burton retired in 1991 and was succeeded by Bobby Keith. Burton's son, Rob later took the reigns of the company.

Burton and his wife, Andrea Carmichael had five children.
