William Leslie "Buddy" Aydelette (born August 19, 1956 in Mobile) is a former professional football player and Trussville City Councilor.

Aydelette played college football at the University of Alabama from 1977 to 1979, earning All-SEC honors in 1979. As a professional he was most well known as a guard for the Birmingham Stallions of the now defunct USFL. From 1983-1985, he was named a member of the All-League Team.[1] He also played in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers in 1980 and the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1987.

Aydelette now resides in Trussville where he was a member of the city council from 2005 until 2012. He was initially appointed to replace John Garrison, and was unopposed in the 2008 election. He works for St Vincent's Health Systems Foundation.
