Carl Dean is an actor, vocalist, choreographer, teacher, and co-founder of the Magic City Actors Theatre.
Dean grew up as an "Army brat", living in Alaska and New York before graduating high school in Ozark, Dale County in the 1990s. He earned his bachelor's degree in theater at the University of Montevallo and then moved back to New York where he worked as an actor for three years.
In 2005 Dean and his wife, Rachel, an Oneonta native, moved to Pleasant Grove with their two children, Caroline and Ryder.
Dean currently teaches at Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School in Ensley and owns Tigerfish Productions which trains and represents actors.
