Carlton Lowe Spurlock (born May 27, 1950 in Birmingham; died June 15, 2014 in Huntsville) was an actor and television news anchor.

Spurlock was the son of Christopher Marlowe Spurlock and his wife, the former Armenta Sibley. He attended Butler High School in Huntsville, leaving before his senior year to enlist as a medical corpsman in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. After his discharge he attended Florence State University and then earned a master's in film and motion picture production at the University of Southern California.

On April 16, 1974, Carl married Sherri Anne Hodges of Huntsville. He began working as a news reporter and anchor at WYUR-TV in Huntsville in 1975, then moved to WAAY-TV in March 1977. He was active in community and regional repertory theater as an actor and director.

Spurlock's resonant voice earned him numerous opportunities for narration and voiceover work, which he extended into radio and commercial production through his own company, ITTO (Is This Thing On?). He also appeared in several film and television productions, including "Kent State" (NBC, 1980), "Rebel Love", "The Verne Miller Story", and "Hell and Mr Fudge."

Spurlock was also employed from 1986 to 1999 as an electronic media specialist by the Intergraph Corporation.

Spurlock married his second wife, the former Gretchen Grace Sobelton, on June 5, 2000 in Bay County, Florida. He died at home in 2014. He was survived by Gretchen and his son form his first marriage, Sean.
