Cedar Grove Apartments is a rent-subsidized apartment complex located on Douglas Avenue, just south of I-20 in Leeds. The complex consists of six separate buildings with a total of 48 units. Qualifying tenants at Cedar Grove typically receive subsidies from the U.S. Department of Agriculture maintaining their rent payments at 30% of monthly income.
Eight units at the complex were damaged by a fire on October 25, 2016. Investigators determined that it was caused by arson.
