Chace Lake

Chace Lake is a subdivision under development by Signature Homes on the former site of the Chace Lake Country Club on the Cahaba River in Hoover. The sale was completed in 2008 after the property was annexed into the City of Hoover.

In addition to 215 home sites and a 20-acre retail center, the $100 million subdivision will include a 40-acre public park with walking trails, grassed meadows, and a 9-acre artificial lake.

Signature Homes acquired the site, contingent on its annexation by the city of Hoover. The annexation was completed in October and a rezoning plan was approved in January 2008. The plan for the new Chace Lake subdivision calls for 215 new single-family houses and a 35-acre public park on the river. Construction began in November 2008.

The Chace Landing retail center is being developed separately by Harbert Realty Services.
