Christopher Confessore (born c. 1966 in Homestead, Florida) is the principal Pops conductor for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and music director for the Brevard Symphony Orchestra of Melbourne, Florida.
Confessore grew up in South Florida. He was convinced to join his middle school band by his mother and, inspired by the score for Star Wars, learned to play her clarinet. He also played saxophone, flute and bassoon in high school. He studied bassoon performance at Florida State University and conducting at the University of Southern California. He worked as an assistant conductor and education director for the Florida West Coast Symphony from 1992 to 2000. He was hired by the Brevard Symphony in 1995 and came to the ASO five years later.
