Civitas was a restaurant located at 2031 Cahaba Road in Mountain Brook's English Village.

The restaurant, founded by Christie and Tim Lowe with chef Trey McLemore, opened in September 2019 as Bobby Carl's Table. The concept was a tribute to the simple and comforting meals prepared by Lowe's and McLemore's grandmothers in rural Shelby County.

The restaurant closed its dining room during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic and McLemore left the partnership. The Lowes changed the restaurant's name to Evelyn's Southern Fare to honor Tim's grandmother. Chef Adam Alfano assisted on a part-time basis to prepare meals for curbside take-out. Before re-opening for full service, they brought in Chris Melville as full-time executive chef.

In early 2022 the Lowes sold the restaurant to salon-owner Tonya Jones, who renamed it in honor of the "Civitas" sculpture outside the building. She retained Melville as chef and added bar manager Quinton Chandler.

The restaurant closed in January 2024.
