Continental Bakery Downtown was a bakery operating from the former Mix location at 1820 4th Avenue North in One Federal Place from January 21, 2014 to October 24, 2015.

The business was a second location of Carole Griffin's popular Continental Bakery on Cahaba Road in English Village. At the new location some of Mix's popular menu times were kept, with new French and North African-inspired dishes. The space also hosted live music and special events such as a Saturday "Drag Brunch" and live tapings of Max Rykov's "Are We There Yet?" talk show.

Continental Bakery Downtown closed in October 2015. Shift leader Melanie Nonnemacher cited issues with the owner's leasing representative as forcing the move. She expressed hope, but no firm plans, for the bakery reopening in another downtown location.
