Cottage Living was a national lifestyle magazine and associated website published by Southern Living, a division of Time Inc, from September 2004 to December 2008. Eight issues were produced annually. The concept for the lifestyle promoted, expressed in the tagline "life just right" was to "live large" within a relatively small footprint.

The magazine launched with a circulation base of 500,000 and 141 ad pages, making it Time's largest-ever magazine launch. Confirmed circulation peaked at just over 1 million in January 2007. It was selected as AdWeek's 2005 "Startup of the Year" and Advertising Age's 2005 "Launch Worth Watching" and appeared on AdWeek's "10 Under 50" hotlist in 2006 and 2007.

When Time made the decision to discontinue publication, the brand employed 47 people, 38 of whom were terminated while the other 9 were relocated within the organization. Editor Lindsay Bierman was among those who kept their jobs.
