Darius McClure

Darius DeWayne McClure (born June 3, 1986 in Stuttgart, Germany) is the Senior Pastor of Christ Church in Fairfield.

He is the son of Michael McClure, Sr and Angela Woods McClure, pastors of Revelation Church Ministries in Irondale. His brother, Michael is pastor of The Rock Church in Forestdale, and his sister, Angelique, is a graduate of Stillman College.

McClure was a standout player for the Minor High School Tigers. During his 2003-04 senior season, he started at cornerback and made 49 tackles, caught one interception and forced three fumbles. On special teams he returned three punts for touchdowns and blocked a field goal, which he also returned. He also played on offense, carrying 12 times for 265 yards and three touchdowns and catching four passes for 104 yards and another score.

McClure accepted an athletic scholarship to Florida State University in Tallahassee and played for Bobby Bowden's Seminoles football team from 2004 to 2008. He tore his medial cruciate ligament while celebrating following an interception against Boston College in 2008. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Social Science.

On June 4, 2011, McClure married the former Brittney Scott. They have three children: Brittain, Brooklyn, and Champion.

From 2010 to 2013, McClure served as chief of staff of The Rock Church in Forestdale. In late 2013 he was tapped to succeed his uncle, Fred McClure, as senior pastor of Christ Church.
