Deposits Online

Deposits Online LLC was a Mountain Brook-based online company which operated DepositAccounts.com, a website using patented technology to track consumer deposit rates at 11,500 federally-insured banks and credit unions.

The site got its start in 2005 as co-founder Ken Tumin's Bank Deals Blog. He worked with a partner to help develop the site's tracking tools and gradually expanded with a staff of researchers and writers.

Deposits Online was acquired by Charlotte, North Carolina-based LendingTree in 2017 for $33 million.
