Ed Terrell

Ed Terrell (born c. 1944) is a senior vice president at Renasant Bank and a former champion amateur tennis player.

Terrell, son of tennis great Red Terrell, graduated from Ramsay High School, and went on to play as a scholarship student at the University of Alabama. He won 13 state tennis titles as a junior and adult and in singles and double's play. In 1959 he also won the Alabama Jayvees, Cotton States, and Dixieland tennis titles. He ranked 1st in the state in singles and doubles through 1960 and 1961. He co-chaired the 1976 Birmingham Tennis Classic tournament and chaired the Birmingham Cystic Fibrosis Celebrity Tennis Tournament.

In 2009 Terrell was inducted into the Alabama Tennis Hall of Fame.
