Eric Reed

Eric Reed (born December 19, 1971 in Birmingham) is a doctor of osteopathic medicine, a doctor of psychology, a certified medical examiner, and the founder of the Analytical Testing Group, an outpatient medical testing and counseling business with offices at 920 18th Street South in Birmingham's Five Points South neighborhood.

Reed grew up in the Smithfield Court public housing community and graduated from Parker High School in 1990. During Operation Desert Storm Reed served in the U.S. Navy as a Search and Rescue Medical Corpsman. He attended the University of Alabama and East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.

Reed earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He worked as business manager for Absolute Drug Detection Services until 2009. He founded his own company in 2008 and has provided services to the City of Birmingham as well as several large companies across the region. He has also served as a speaker on substance abuse to audiences of NCAA athletes across the country.
