Gable Square is a multi-tenant 1-story commercial building, constructed c. 1927 in a picturesque Tudor Revival style in an irregular-shaped block bounded by 10th Avenue South, 8th Street South, 9th Court South and 10th Street South. The southern part of the block is occupied by the Gable Square Amoco service station.

The building serves as a neighborhood services anchor at the edge of the Glen Iris neighborhood, adjoining EPIC School and Bessie Estell Park across from St Elias Maronite Church, near the UAB campus.
