Galley & Garden is a restaurant that operates out of the former William Merritt residence at 2220 Highland Avenue on the corner of 11th Court South in Southside. It is owned by Ed Hardin and operated by Huntsville restaurateurs James and Suzan Boyce. The menu features American and French-inspired dishes made with fresh, regional ingredients.

The 7,000 square foot residence constructed in 1908 has housed a series of restaurants, including The Pillars, Merritt House, Veranda, which closed in 2014. The Boyces retained the staff while overseeing a complete renovation. The changes included opening views into the kitchen from the dining room and re-landscaping the patio. The designs for the renovation were commissioned from Jeff Dungan of Dungan Nequette Architects and June Mays Garden Design.

In 2018 Galley & Garden agreed to a settlement to dismiss a racial discrimination suit brought by cook Danielle Holeman.

In 2022 Hardin filed a $708,687.86 civil lawsuit against the U.S. Small Business Administration because it gave preference to businesses owned by, "women, veterans, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals," when approving Restaurant Revitalization Fund applications under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
