Grace Life Baptist Church

Grace Life Baptist Church (founded in 1943 as Loveless Park Baptist Church) is a Baptist church located in McCalla.

The congregation was organized as an outreach of 2nd Baptist Church of Bessemer and named for the Loveless Park community. The first building was completed on George Loop Road in the early 1960s. It was expanded with a "Family Life Center" gymnasium in the 1970s, and with an office and education annex in the 1990s.

In 2005 the church renovated the former Family Life Center as a worship center and converted the former sanctuary into a Student Center. During the same year the congregation acquired the former Shadow Lake Dairy property in McCalla, which it has used for church outings. The church adopted its present name in 2010.

In 2018 Grace Life Baptist began constructing a new church campus on its Shadow Lake property. The former buildings on Lou George Loop were sold to Shades Mountain Christian School, which was renamed Heritage Christian School.
