Great Bear Wax Co. is a manufacturer of scented soy wax candles. It was founded in 2013 by Jake Carnley. The name is a reference to the "Great Bear" (Ursa Major) constellation. Carnley intended to start with candles as an entry into a broader range of men's hair- and skin-care products.

Carnley originally based the business out of space subleased in The Nest, an event space in the Avondale Bricks building at 130 41st Street South in Avondale. By 2018 he had moved the production to space behind Club Duquette at 17 55th Place South in Woodlawn. He later moved across the street to the SocialVenture building at 5529 1st Avenue South, and expanded in 2019 with the "Bungalow Bungalow" brand of eco-friendly refillable household products. The shop and that business closed in March 2021.
