Greenbriar at the Altamont is a retirement community occupying the former Altamont Apartments at 2831 Highland Avenue in Birmingham's Highland Park neighborhood. It is operated by Noland Health Services, and its executive director is Jennifer Shunnara.
The eight-story brick-clad luxury apartment building designed by architect Jake Salie was completed in 1925. It included a ballroom and full-service restaurant along with hot and cold running water and telephone service.
