Heager Hill

Heager L. Hill Sr (born c. 1934) is a former Alabama state coordinator for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. founder and president of Republic Diversified Services and chair of the Birmingham Land Bank Authority.

Hill has a psychology degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, and has studied at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the Brock School of Business at Samford University. During his career with HUD, Hill served as the state coordinator for its Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Division in the 1970s and retired as state coordinator for the overall Department in the 2000s. After retiring from public service, Hill opened his own consulting firm.

Hill was appointed to Birmingham's land banking authority by the Birmingham City Council in 2014 and was inducted into the Birmingham Gallery of Distinguished Citizens in 2017.
