J. Willoughby (born c. 1960) is a singer-songwriter, a former radio personality, and founder of the Black Jacket Symphony.
Willoughby, the son of radio host John Ed Willoughby, attended Mountain Brook High School and the University of Alabama. He was a member of the regionally-popular band The Newboys and later worked as a songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee. He joined his father on radio, and later teamed with Richard Dixon in the Dixon & Willoughby radio show which debuted on WAPI-AM in 2005 and moved to WHTQ-FM in Orlando, Florida in 2007.
Willoughby's popular "Black Jacket Symphony" brings together select local musicians to recreate classic rock albums in their entirety.
