Janet Weidler

Janet Boyd Weidler is the former pastor of Pilgrim Church, a United Church of Christ congregation, located in Birmingham's Lakeview neighborhood. She spent one year with the church, from 2010 to 2011.

Weidler grew up in Birmingham and graduated from Mountain Brook High School. She obtained a bachelor's degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. Ordained in the UCC in 1983, she and her husband, Richard Weidler, served churches in New England, Pennsylvania, and most recently, North Carolina, before coming to Pilgrim Church. The couple has a son and a daughter.
