John McLaughlin Forney (born June 4, 1927, Los Angeles, California; died July 31, 1997, Birmingham) was a radio personality and broadcaster, best known as "the voice of the Crimson Tide."

During the 1948 Alabama State Fair, he hosted an interview program titled "Let's Go to the Fair," broadcasting from a WAPI-WAFM booth at the fairgrounds.

Forney was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.

He is buried in Elmwood Cemetery.
