John Richardson Jr

John Richardson Jr is the 31st Postmaster of Birmingham.

Richardson began working as a letter carrier for the Birmingham Post Office in 1987. He was promoted in the customer service department there and became a customer service manager at the Center Point Postal Station, Forestdale Postal Station, Green Springs Postal Station and River Run-Mountain Brook Postal Station. He served as Postmaster of Bessemer and as officer in charge for the Birmingham Post Office.

Richardson has served on the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Joint Safety Task Force and as the Postal Co-Chair for the Greater Birmingham Postal Customer Council.
