Joy League

Joy League is a kids' baseball league founded in Homewood in 1958 on the principle that no one is excluded. Boys and girls from ages 4 to 12 are accepted into the league, which plays games on Saturdays at Edgewood Elementary School. Starting in 2019, games are played on the fields at Homewood Middle School.

Players are divided into 5 divisions:

  1. Bucs
  2. Cards
  3. Jays
  4. Sox
  5. Yanks

Current commissioner is Tim Meehan, who was appointed in 2019. Former commissioners were Perry Akins and Ted Hagler.
