Juneteenth CultureFest is an African-American cultural festival hosted by the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute at Kelly Ingram Park. The event commemorates June 19, 1865, the day that slaves working in Galveston, Texas finally got word about the Emancipation Proclamation two years after it was signed.

The CultureFest was inaugurated as an annual event in 1995. The festival includes walking tours of the Historic 4th Avenue District, live music, dance contests, children's games and activities, storytelling and arts and crafts vendors. A worship service at the 16th Street Baptist Church closes the event.
