Kim Riegel

Kim Riegel is a photographer and photography teacher.

As an artist, she has achieved renown with two series of works: "Public Shrines, Private Grief", photographs of roadside memorials, and "Observations of Intimacy", photographs of couples in their bedrooms. She was awarded third place in a prestigious photography competition sponsored by the Texas Photographic Society.

Riegel has taught for many years with the UAB Special Studies and Samford After Sundown programs.

Riegel lives in Hoover and is married to software executive, theater producer and former disc jockey Brad Riegel and has two children.
