LabCorp Parking Deck

The LabCorp Parking Deck is a three-level enclosed parking deck built in 2015 by Healthcare Realty Trust of Nashville, Tennessee for LabCorp . It stretches across the most of the 1800 block of 2nd Avenue South, from 18th Street to the back of the Birmingham Publishing Company building on 19th Street.

The design of the deck, by Hendon & Huckestein Architects, aimed to blend into the historic low-rise commercial context of Midtown. Its pre-cast concrete wall panels are designed with "punched" openings and ornamented with thin-brick cladding, metal awnings, grilles and bracket lights at ground level. Contrasting buff-colored panels are intended to break up the mass of the building. Layton Construction completed the building in two months.
