Lake Oliver

Lake Oliver is a 9-mile long reservoir located in Tuscaloosa on the Black Warrior River. Created by the William Bacon Oliver Lock and Dam in 1940, it is named for U. S. Representative William Oliver. The lake largely follows the path of the river, and is downstream from the Holt Lock and Dam.
