Lauren Wiersma

Lauren Wiersma (born c. 1983) is a brewer at Trim Tab Brewing.

Wiersma attended Vestavia Hills High School and Birmingham-Southern College, and also studied at the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Valparaíso, Chile. She began her career in the beverage industry in wine sales at Western Supermarket in Mountain Brook Village. While studying to become a Certified Specialist in Wine she became interested in beer brewing and volunteered at Avondale Brewing Company.

Wiersma then moved to Colorado and worked as an intern at the Pumphouse Brewery in Longmont, and then became a full-time employee on Left Hand Brewing Company's packaging line. She was later promoted to shift lead and, after almost a year, left for a cellar position at Oskar Blues Brewery.

Wiersma returned to Alabama with her fiancé to work with Will Crenshaw at Trim Tab.
