  • February 12: Emma Harvey was found burned to death in her home on 64th Street North between 2nd and 3rd Avenue North. Arthur and Alberta Dixon, who lived in the same house, were arrested and charged. Arthur Dixon had recently been named in the elderly woman's will and he and his wife gave conflicting accounts of there whereabouts the previous night.
