Lou Willie IV

Louis James Willie IV (born c. 1981) is a political and public relations consultant.

Willie, the son of attorney Lou Willie III and his wife, Mary; and the grandson of business executive Louis Willie, Jr. At age nine he played the role of "Thomas" in Terrific New Theatre's production of "Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You."

He earned a bachelor of arts in communications at UAB. He was an on-air reporter for Blazer News and also active in film production with the UAB Film Club.

In 2010 he was hired as a committee assistant to the Birmingham City Council's Transportation Committee, chaired by Kim Rafferty. He was responsible for media and public relations, agency coordination, and policy recommendations for the committee. He was involved in helping write language for the city's ordinances banning texting while driving and regulating taxi cab services.

Willie left City Hall in 2011 and took a position as a department manager at Stein Mart for just over a year. In 2012 he was hired as a field organizer for the Obama for America (formerly Organizing for America) in the Pensacola, Florida area. In 2013 he returned to Birmingham as a field organizer for the Alabama Democratic Party. He founded LW Associates political consultants in November 2012.
