Miles Axe Copeland Sr (born July 24, 1868, in Wayne County, Indiana; died March 9, 1958 in Birmingham) was a physician. He was the father of CIA official Miles Copeland Jr and the grandfather of drummer Stewart Copeland, promoter Ian Copeland, and music producer Miles Copeland III.

Copeland was the son of Miles and Catherine Magdaline Axe Copeland of Indiana. He graduated from Birmingham Medical College in 1903 and was granted his license by the Jefferson County Board of Medical Examiners the same year. From at least 1909 to 1917 he kept offices in the Farley Building on 20th Street North, having relocated from offices above the Midway Saloon on 19th Street North.

Copeland and his wife, Leonora had two sons, Miles Jr and Hunter. The family resided at 721 20th Street South in 1912, at 2208 17th Avenue South in 1920, and at 2128 16th Avenue South between 1929 and 1940. The family rented rooms to lodgers.

Copeland relocated his practice to the Watts Building by 1929, and then to the Woodward Building by 1931.

Copeland died in 1958 and is buried at Elmwood Cemetery.
