MAP Development
MAP Development, LLC is a real estate brokerage firm owned by Mark A. Peeples and located at 421 Office Park Drive off U.S. Highway 280 in Mountain Brook. The group specializes in the development, leasing, and management of shopping centers anchored by Wal-Mart stores.
History
MAP Development's first project was Leeds Village, which opened in October 2000. The following year saw the development of South Rivers Market in Mississippi (July) and Calera Crossings (September), plus the redevelopment of Keystone Plaza. In 2002, the company only completed one development in Texas. Pell City Station opened in July 2003. That same year, Keystone Plaza was sold to Engle Realty. In 2004, Stockbridge Commons in Georgia opened, but was sold to another firm the following year. The Teaxas development was also sold in 2005 while another was opened in Pennsylvania. Rivebend Shopping Center opened in Demopolis in 2006. In 2007, both Chelsea Crossings and Eastwood Village are expected to be completed.
