MacDonald B. "Mac" Fleming (born 1923 in Laurens, South Carolina) has taught history at the Indian Springs School in Shelby County for 55 years.

Fleming served as an aviation radio man, 3rd class in the U. S. Navy in World War II, stationed in Guam. After the war he went to Peabody College for Teachers in Tennessee on the G. I. Bill, with hopes of becoming a college professor. He accepted an invitation from his former professor, Indian Springs director Louis E. Armstrong to join the faculty for the school's first year in 1952.

In 1997 Fleming reduced his schedule to part-time, but continues to teach. He plans to retire after the 2007 academic year to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He is also active at Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church.
