Macedonia 17th Street Baptist Church

Macedonia 17th Street Baptist Church was founded in 1885 and is located at 1405 13th Avenue North in Druid Hills. The pastor is Thomas E. Hunter.

On December 12, 1965, the church moved to the present location from its previous 1919 building at 922 17th Street North in Northside. Its current building was originally erected by Calvary Baptist Church.

Because of its role in the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights, it was recognized as a "movement church" by the Birmingham Historical Society.
