The Magic City Railroad Club is a model railroading club founded in 1989 by Alvin Kesler. He and fellow modelers began building a portable O-gauge train layout divided into 2-foot by 4-foot modular sections, which they assembled at various model train shows in the Southeast.

In 1991 the group constructed a larger, permanent train layout at West Lake Mall in Bessemer. The club expanded and elaborated their set-up for 14 years on that location before the mall was sold and they negotiated with AIG Baker to take over a vacant upper-level space in the Vestavia Hills City Center.

The Magic City Railroad Club is a member of the National Model Railroad Association.
