Margaret Burnham

Margaret K. Burnham (born 1951 in Detroit, Michigan) is a full-time conservator for the Birmingham Museum of Art.

Burnham earned a bachelor's degree in art education at Wayne State University and a postgraduate degree in the conservation of ceramics, glass and related materials from West Dean College in England. She has volunteered at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, and worked as an intern at the British Museum in London.

She has been doing contract work for the Birmingham Museum of Art since 1990 and opened her own conservation studio in Union, Maine in 1992. She was hired as the BMA's full-time conservator in 2013.

Burnham is married to Jack Burnham, former director of Sloss Furnaces.
