Mata Electric

Mata Electric LLC, formerly Mata Electrical Contractors and Support is an electrical and alarm installation and repair contractor with offices at 511 Pinson Valley Parkway in Tarrant. The company was founded in Lawrenceville, Georgia in 2008 by Erick Mata. The company moved to Birmingham in 2016. Co-owner Tina Sharpe works as a general manager.

The company experienced financial difficulties beginning in 2017, and has been accused of not paying wages owed to employees. Mata filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation in 2021.
