Miriam Norville

Miriam Worthington Norville Morse (born October 23, 1910 in Mobile - died August 28, 2005 in Birmingham) was a designer of young girl's dresses.

Born Miriam Worthington to John James and Octavia Rayford Worthington of Mobile, she moved to Birmingham as a young adult and married Peyton Norville, Jr, with who she had three children, Peyton III, Miriam and Elizabeth. She was one of the founding members of St Luke's Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook and also a member of the St Vincent's Hospital Auxiliary.

She was nationally-known as a dress designer under the label Miriam Norville Originals. After her first husband died she remarried, to Huntington T. Morse of Chevy Chase, Maryland.

After he died, she spent the last years of her life at St Martin's-in-the-Pines Retirement Community. She is interred at Elmwood Cemetery.
